The new 2026 AHA/ACC Multisociety PE Guideline introduces:
• A completely new PE classification system
• Stronger role for PERT teams
• More clarity on thrombectomy/thrombolysis
• Early discharge for selected patients
• Long term follow up recommendations

This is probably the biggest PE guideline shift in years.
