Netherlands missing a number of key players this international window but still getting out with 8 points.

Praise to Xavi for that and I definitely like what I see from Zechiel and Van Bommel.

[Michael Bell @MichaelJBell09]

Netherlands poor but a wins a win. If Reijnders was more clinical in front of goal it could have been more comfortable

In the end, Verbruggen had to make a huge save to win it

[Michael Bell @MichaelJBell09]

Not good enough so far from the Netherlands.

Not creating enough up front while defensively, Serbia have had 3 huge chances.

Need to improve after the break to get the win

[Michael Bell @MichaelJBell09]

Netherlands much better in the second half

But why do we have so many players afraid to shoot!!!

[Michael Bell @MichaelJBell09]

Timber brothers have been a disaster.

But so have most of the other players too.

Seems if Summerville doesn’t do something himself we have nothing going forward.

[Michael Bell @MichaelJBell09]

All the Timbers have done in this half so far is give away foul after foul

[Michael Bell @MichaelJBell09]

Really poor so far.

Greece by far the more energetic side.

Netherlands midfield, unsurprisingly, being overrun.

[Michael Bell @MichaelJBell09]

A midfield three of Q Timber, Veerman and Til…

Is that the weakest, on paper, Netherlands midfield in years?

[Michael Bell @MichaelJBell09]

Mexx Meerdink with a great penalty and another top finish to win it.

Works hard and builds play up too.

Promising first start but we all know he has plenty to work on.

[Michael Bell @MichaelJBell09]

Going away to Serbia and getting a victory is no easy task.

Netherlands under Xavi looking promising so far. On to Greece and hopefully a debut for Zechiel.

[Michael Bell @MichaelJBell09]

Very impressed with Summerville and Veerman today for the Netherlands.

I hope we can find a solution to the 10 position because Reijnders was poor today and we had no option other than Til.

[Michael Bell @MichaelJBell09]

Michael Reiziger once again proving today that it was utter madness he was even in the thinking for the Netherlands job.

Decision to not play Daal and Van Bergen backfired massively.

KNVB needs to sack him if they don’t make the Euros

[Michael Bell @MichaelJBell09]

No Steur, Van Bergen or Daal.

Must win game for Reiziger and some risky decisions here

Gjivai Zechiël in de basis bij Jong Oranje tegen Noorwegen 🆚🇳🇴

[Michael Bell @MichaelJBell09]

The Netherlands should have won.

Some poor refereeing decisions coupled with some bad finishing.

Promising signs under Xavi but need to be more clinical.

[Michael Bell @MichaelJBell09]

Ruben van Bommel is some player and that is some way to mark your Netherlands debut!

A frontline of Van Bommel, Summerville and Gakpo could be a lot of fun

[Michael Bell @MichaelJBell09]

The Netherlands U21s could line up tomorrow with Steur, Smit and Zechiel in midfield.

That is an exciting midfield trio.

Would rather watch that tonight than Gravenberch, Timber and Reijnders…

[Michael Bell @MichaelJBell09]

A rather boring selection from Xavi tonight.

Most of the same names from the World Cup. A start for Quinten Timber over Veerman.

Hopefully see Van Bommel second half

[Michael Bell @MichaelJBell09]

Guus Til being called in over Valente is a shame.

Valente a much better footballer. Til in there because he can score I guess.

First questionable decision by Xavi.

[Michael Bell @MichaelJBell09]

Gjivai Zechiel gets another assist for Feyenoord and is then taken off thankfully!

Cannot wait to see him in a Netherlands shirt in the coming weeks!

[Michael Bell @MichaelJBell09]

Sean Steur getting very high praise again for Newcastle.

Their midfield fell apart when he went off injured.

Will be a big shame if he has to pull out of the Netherlands U21 squad.

Gonna be an elite talent
