It’s been a journey, no doubt. I lowkey introduced my struggles to the public on @ShiloSanders YouTube video during the Steelers vs browns game on October 12th. Sadly it went from a big toe amputation on August 1st to a full blown below the knee amputation on Oct 21st to save my life from a bad blood infection that had turned me septic I chose this to give myself the best quality of life. Now I’m well on my road to recovery by learning how to move with crutches, to getting in and out of chairs, to working on balance, single-leg strength, and now taking on stairs. Every day I get a little stronger and a little closer to walking again after I receive my prosthetic. During this time I finally qualify to receive a insulin pump to treat my diabetes. Through all the bad times I still have blessings to be thankful for, and to praise GOD for ‼️
Through it all, I’m trusting God’s timing and staying focused on the mission.
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” – 2 Corinthians 5:7 🙏🏽
But I need your help. My health insurance will only cover my stay at this recovery/rehab nursing home until November 23rd. After that, the costs could range $10,000–$20,000+ without insurance. I’m still being told by my doctors that I need to stay here for 2+ months (possibly until I start getting fitted for my prosthetic between December and January. so the amputation heals correctly it’s genuinely the most or one of the most things is that I’m somewhere handicap accessible because I am currently in a wheel chair till I get the prosthetic. My current apartment isn’t handicap accessible, it’s secluded, down a hill. Has flights of steps I’d have to traverse to get into my unit, and increases my fall risk and the risk of catastrophic injury, which could lead to an above the knee amputation. And then I will have to worry about the cost of the prosthetic leg.That’s going to bring another massive copay and I’ll likely need additional financial help there too. All while I will be out of work.

I’m still being told by my doctors that I need to stay here for 2+ months (possibly until I start getting fitted for my prosthetic between December and January. so the amputation heals correctly it’s genuinely the most or one of the most things is that I’m somewhere handicap accessible because I am currently in a wheel chair till I get the prosthetic. My current apartment isn’t handicap accessible, it’s secluded, down a hill. Has flights of steps I’d have to traverse to get into my unit, and increases my fall risk and the risk of catastrophic injury, which could lead to an above the knee amputation. And then I will have to worry about the cost of the prosthetic leg.That’s going to bring another massive copay and I’ll likely need additional financial help there too. All while I will be out of work.
I’m begging for help any way you can. Shares, word of mouth, even an opportunity in trade for a debt to be paid when I can work again. Anything helps
