@AmeliaAmor001@katwildeatl But I can see where a person would have a real hard time justifying the expense of a new bed base just to get that *one* feature.
As a last resort: I've found that the "Zero G" setting is probably the best compromise if you change positions during the night, but YMMV.
@AmeliaAmor001@katwildeatl OK, I get it now. I start out on my back and switch to my side, and have to readjust the bed to flatten out the lower section. Some bases have a "sleep mode" that switches between positions on a timer like you'd prefer ; you might check to see if yours already has that function.
@AmeliaAmor001@katwildeatl Depends on the manufacturer (many adjustable frames are made by Leggett & Platt and sold under various brand names), but a decent bed frame frequently has memory settings.
So you could choose two settings - one for back, one for side.
Light settings are also often adjustable.
@mimi10v3 But, um, what about the cat that was *already* in the box first?
Unless the whole point is that the cat should claw the shit out of the rapist. Assuming it's not already dead.
(At this point, Schroedinger is turning in his grave so rapidly, he's ready for electrical loading.)
@LoveSheridanNYC Question -- and I'm asking this in good faith:
What exactly *is* SlutCon? I assume that the name itself is a tongue-in cheek meta-type reference.
Outside looking in, it appears to be speed dating for the SV/VC and/or alt-lifestyle crowd. In other words, very niche.
Thoughts?
@LoveSheridanNYC Neat.
There's "referring to the source material", and then there's...referring to an *actual* source. Sounds like an awesome experience.
The BT-DT types always tell the best stories. That is, if you can get them to tell 'em in the first place (shhhhh....🤐)
@LoveSheridanNYC Anecdotally, Waylon Jennings had almost that exact sentiment about his hit song "Luckenbach, Texas".
Something like: "If I'd have known I'd have to sing that MFer every night, I'd have written a different song."
(Quote edited for PG-13-ness, of course.)
@RuncibleSpork@LoveSheridanNYC Interesting suggestion but...IDK, man.
I mean, if you went 'round saying you were an emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at you, they'd probably put you away.
@LoveSheridanNYC@RuncibleSpork OTOH, it's no worse than having strange women, lying in ponds distributing swords, as a basis for government.
Just sayin'.
@AmeliaAmor001@estelleazure Granted, you'd have the hassle (and expense) of a second set of everything -- payments, insurance, parking, etc.
But if you need the cover, you'd have the exact same vehicle available every time you drove it, and nobody would have to be the wiser, right?
@AmeliaAmor001@estelleazure Depending on how much cover you need WRT your choice of car...might not be a bad idea to consider a lease on an inexpensive new car that looks "nice". The local Kia dealership e-mails me weekly about $299/mo lease specials on decent looking new vehicles.
@LoveSheridanNYC I used to think this statue was "a little short to be a Stormtrooper" scale till I read a biography of ol' Fightin' Phil.
The town founder there decided to name a swath of land for the Civil War general he'd served under.
Turns out, it's life-sized. (Tacky, but life-sized.)
@AmeliaAmor002 Most all TVs are Smart TVs these days. Unless you're still musing a cable box or DVR, you don't really need the coax cable.
In the case of a cable modem (most people still have one), those can pretty easily be relocated to any out-of-the-way spot near a cable outlet.
