Currently on my third liver. Things didn't work out with the first two. Husband, Dad, Business owner, U-Mich Alum and Evil Supervillian hiding in plain sight.
@DarkoStateNews Re-Read my response. As bad as his actions were, it’s not like he is a mass murderer or child molester. He deserves what I’m sure he will get. But suicide? He doesn’t deserve that.
@DarkoStateNews RUMOR is that he got into a physical altercation with his wife. May have threatened to off himself. I hope it’s not true. He made some terrible mistakes, but nobody deserves to go through that.
@dan_bernstein I think that he wants to show that the City is safe and is simply blind to the optics. “Hey - I’ll be there - You should too.” Not defending it, but I don’t see it as intentionally hurtful.
Kind of like the push to go back into NYC after the bombings. Except WAY too soon.
@NdamukongSuh higher tip. I don’t think most will do so, though. Not judging anyone, any group, nor the system, but I think that rewarding for great service, as we do now, is the slightly better method. 2/2
@NdamukongSuh If tipping stops, Owners will be forced to pay a real wage to wait staff. Owners then raise prices to make up the difference. Pay it one way or the other.
One caveat: In a perfect world, a good wait staff would go above and beyond, regardless of the motivation of a 1/2
@mike_hostal@mfarrellsports And as a side note, the question of fairness does exist: IF there are other schools colluding to share Michigan’s signs, as seems to have happened, then where is the supposed competitive advantage? It doesn’t absolve Michigan, but others must also be punished. 3/3
@mike_hostal@mfarrellsports If not, then why punish him today for what you can’t yet prove? Let the process play out. Then issue a fair penalty, but only if deserved. That is why they should (and are) fighting it. 2/3
