@mwenye_kiri@pasival07 It may be possible in Kenya, but in Tanzania it would take many decades. We deeply value our culture and traditions, even in urban areas. A Tanzanian Luo remains connected to their roots because kitwa gi timbewa (our identity and traditions) are our priority.
@mwenye_kiri@pasival07 Tanzanian and Kenyan Luos are the only Luo groups whose language shares a very high degree of similarity, including in grammar and dialect.
@pasival07 Inter country trips ni muhimu hasa kwa Kisumu na Siaya, kwa Migori na Homabay tumetangana vizuri Sana tunatembeleana Sana kwa sherehe na misiba
@pasival07 We visit your side very often. It is rare for a year to pass without us travelling to Kisumu, Kadem, Karungu, Sori, or Kamagambo. Many of our Luo sisters from Tanzania get married there.
@pasival07 Honestly, there are many of us here. Almost all the Luo clans found in Kenya are also present in Tanzania, and most Tanzanian Luos trace their ancestral roots back to Siaya.
@pasival07 Padhola Hao ni ndugu zetu wakiongea tunaelewa sema wanaongea haraka haraka kama wanakimbia but tunaelewa kuliko Acholi ambao wanaendana Sana na Alego
@mwenye_kiri@pasival07 Omera, I have a question: why do many Kenyan Luos not know that there are also Luos in Tanzania? Imagine meeting a Luo brother or sister and explaining this to them, but they do not believe it at all. Some even tell us that we are just Kenyans.

@pasival07@aomenya We are proud of preserving our Luo cultural heritage and deeply grateful to Kenyan Luo artists, especially those in Ohangla, Benga, Nyatiti, and Arutu, for helping Tanzanian Luos maintain and strengthen our cultural identity.
@pasival07@aomenya "Our identity and traditions are important. As Luos, we must know our history and preserve it for future generations, just as our ancestors passed it down to us. Imagine if they had not done so; we Tanzanian Luos might have lost our identity and even our language.
