Aaron Judge said his right calf strain is in the soleus muscle. He wouldn’t say what grade strain the MRI revealed.
“I'd like to be back by the postseason. That's definitely the plan. I got really no answers for you on any timeline or anything like that.”
Aaron Judge will be placed on the 10-day injured list tomorrow with a right calf strain, the Yankees say. A corresponding move will be made at that time.
Clarke Schmidt entered in the 7th inning for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Aaron Boone said Schmidt will need "at least a couple more" outings in the Minors.

• Recalled RHP Luis Gil (#81) from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
• Optioned RHP Yerry de los Santos to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Giancarlo Stanton is earning $29 million this season and is owed $25 million for 2027. His contract – initially signed with the Marlins in November 2014 – includes a $25 million club option for the 2028 season, which carries a $10 million buyout. The Marlins are in the process of paying the Yankees $30 million to offset the deal - $10 million annually in 2026, '27 and '28.
