For reasons which are obvious, I have decided to stop posting and scrolling on Twitter. If you would like to seek me out elsewhere, I am on Bluesky, Facebook and Instagram.
Here is a list of the most useful and enjoyable TV programmes and films I watched while researching my Iceland novels. Latest post on my #writinginice blog. https://t.co/sXWnMnUnoe

My free on-line one-line writing course: 'When in doubt, take it out'. Yes, you've heard it before, I know. But the more I write, the more this seems to me to be the single most important thing. I now cut so much, my books represent a tiny fraction of what I've actually written.
I guess it is appropriate that the ultimate shark-jumping VAR moment came in the Schleswig-Holstein match.

What an honor it was to serve as the Fjallkona (Mountain Woman) of Kópavogur this national day!
The Fjallkona symbolizes the very spirit of Iceland – our majestic landscapes, our resilient nature, and the enduring strength of our people. Here’s to our beloved Iceland! 🇮🇸
Guest blog post this week is from the Scottish-Danish author Christoffer Petersen (pictured) who writes the wonderful David Maratse crime novels set in Greenland. Fascinating stuff. https://t.co/6Z8Ck3XacY #writinginice

@AspectsHistory@petertonkin50@AndrewJRTaylor@for_fi@MarkEllis15@JeanCBriggs@The_CWA American Nations by Colin Woodard. I usually read a book of American history every summer and this is this year's. The author makes a persuasive argument that US attitudes and history are determined by the origins of the original settlers of the different regions. Very good.
How Gudrid the Wanderer and her husband discovered North America centuries before Columbus, and how this irritated some historians: my latest #writinginice blog post. https://t.co/BSWYTrm06H Pic is of an iceberg giving me the finger in front of Erik the Red's house in Greenland.
