BREAKING: LOL! AOC kicks the MAGA hornet's nest in hilarious fashion by declaring that Trump has turned the Reflecting Pool into an "actual swamp."

Sorry Republicans, the truth hurts...

"What do you make of all this controversy surrounding the Reflecting Pool?" a reporter asked Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

"I mean, when you defund science research, when you don't really understand the first thing about science... Yeah, they talked a bunch of smack, they said that they had to repaint the pool, and now they’ve turned the place into a swamp," she replied. "They turned it to an actual swamp!"

The irony, of course, is that Trump ran on "draining the swamp." He has ended up leading the most blatantly corrupt, criminal administration in American history. Now, the capital has a fitting visual metaphor for that rot.

The funniest part about this ongoing PR debacle is that it's an entirely self-inflicted wound. Trump was the one who drew so much attention to the issue by promising to renovate the pool into something truly beautiful, boasting that he would succeed where President Obama supposedly failed.

He then proceeded to give a sweetheart deal to a convicted felon, who did such a substandard job that the entire pool turned green and the lining began to detach. It has never looked more hideous.

Now, Republicans are begging for the media to talk about anything other than the pool. We refuse to cave to that demand. This is the bed that they made. It's time to lie in it.
