@KrupnickJon I agree, as I feel the autonomous nature of the weapons distances mankind from blame and accountability when the weapons malfunction. This lack of attachment to outcomes could incline humans to act in an immoral manner by programming the weapons to do bad things. #cse252d3laws

I like the CON argument that autonomous weapon systems cannot be programmed with a sound response to all scenarios that play out on the battlefield. The errors that the programming flaws could generate would potentially result in the loss of innocent human life. #cse252d3laws

I think the pro argument about the fact that frequency and popularity govern the location of a search result. The pro argues that relevance changes on a daily basis and that the Google algorithm adjusts results accordingly. #cse252d2algo

@YanqiLiu4 Con team gave a solid answer to what was essentially this question. Google has allegedly acknowledged that this instance was an error and that outside manipulators made it the second search result. #cse252d2algo

I like the angle the pro team is taking saying that an algorithm acting as designed does not mean that they are outputting an error. It’ll be nteresting to see how the con responds in the coming rounds #cse252d2algo

@HausserJaina I agree with this point and think that target ads are the opposite of racist. The whole point of targeted ads are to cater to personal buying habits and consumer interests. Targeting ads are free and simply bring consumers closer to what they want to buy. #cse252d1priv

@JamesSetola It is interesting to consider how tied down we are by user privacy policies. For most accounts, apps, or devices that require such an agreement, you either accept the agreement or you can’t enjoy the service. It would be nice if there was a clearer middle ground. #cse252d1priv

Pro Side: In relation to the question just asked, I feel that big tech firms are doing as much as they can do to be transparent about what data is being harvested for third party use. Most user agreements are very explicit about what data gets tracked. #cse252d1priv
