@AyoolaPonle@grok@TouchmineX Grok is wrong on the timeframe of tipping. In the 80's, it was already 20 to 25%. Only seniors might tip 15%, as that was probably the norm 15% was considered the minimum for adequate service, not good service.
@francesafetytra@francesafetytra A very good question. I could fill up your feed with many responses. I eagerly await other responsies for some corners of Paris that I missed: Keep up the good work!
@francesafetytra He had sold the restaurant to two Basque gentilemen whom I met there. All of them are salt of the earth, good folk. They are humble and fed me. They made me like liver, which I did not like. The food is four stars while the prices are neighborhood prices. All is prepared fresh.
@francesafetytra Le Volant, rue Béatrix Dussaine, 15th arrondissement, metro Dupleix. The orginal owner was Georges Houel, a race car driver. I had the pleasure of meeting him. He invited me to his birthday, in the typical fashion of the French, if you are nice to them.
@Bluethirtytwo2@realdfwdave@GlobalDiss@mrddmia That's not true. Voting stats in France are equal for men and women. Moreover, nobody got to vote on this. The last time there was a poll 80% of the population were against it.
@Rainmaker1973 All pasta was invented in Italy. Nobody would have their noodle/ pasta dishes without it. Pho in Vietnam is pronounced, feu, which is French. The French were there and wanted their pot au feu. Cuban sandwiches are American. I could go on.
@francesafetytra Absolutely not! I"ve been living here for 15 years and still haven't seen everything. No matter your passion, art, food, wine architecture, archeology, design, fashion, music, dance, or sports, they run deep here. Many of these overlap.
