THEY PAY ZERO TAX. THEY DONATE TO BOTH SIDES & THEY ALL PAY THE SAME CLUB.
SAP Australia earned $1.33 billion in this country last year. Paid zero tax. Its platform sits at the centre of a $3.5 billion Defence project that is five years late and $2 billion over budget.
SAP also donated $33,000 to the Labor Party and $9,900 to the Liberal Party in 2024-25. Same pattern every year. Both sides. While paying zero tax on $1.33 billion.
SAP is not alone. The Big Four do the same. KPMG gave $66,000 to Labor and $65,000 to the Liberals in 2024-25, both parties, same financial year, while collecting $91 million as “strategic partner” on the Defence ERP. EY gave $71,500 to Labor, the same amount, three years running, while collecting $116 million for change management on the same project. PwC has given to both sides for over a decade.
And then there is the club. Every major consulting firm pays the Business Council of Australia $104,500 a year. Identical amounts. BCG, Accenture, Deloitte, EY, IBM, KPMG, McKinsey, PwC, all eight. $836,000 a year from the consulting industry alone. The BCA’s declared electoral expenditure: zero.
BCG pays the BCA $104,500 but donates nothing directly to any party. Neither does Accenture, McKinsey, or IBM. They use the BCA channel. A subscription, not a donation. Invisible as political spending.
In fairness, BCA membership buys policy access and advocacy across many industries. That is a legitimate function. But the firms that design government systems, the firms that bill on government projects, and the firms that donate to the parties that award the contracts are the same firms paying the same club the same amount.
Both sides take the money. Neither side built a lock.
None of it is illegal. That’s the problem.
Cold hard facts. Sourced. Corrected when wrong.
What’s your Thoughts…?
