This lady, whom I know through a friend of mine, was one of those PCMs who were kidnapped on their way to the NYSC orientation camp in Abia.

Now the kidnappers are demanding ₦50 million. Just like that!

The video below was recorded before they started their journey.

All they wanted to do was serve their fatherland. They never knew they were getting into the hands of kidnappers!

The NYSC and the government have failed them.

Family and friends are now left to run helter-skelter in search of money that's not available.

NYSC should really either be scrapped entirely or corps members should be allowed to camp and serve only within their regions!

The security situation in the country is just too volatile for interstate postings!
