@Chappers2013 Let’s book it in, I thought of you the other day and us lugging all of my garden furniture into the back of your truck that time! I still owe you a thank you drink 🙂
Love these pics! Been so long since I’ve seen a decent sunset or sunrise, here was my last one…
Hope you’re well @Chappers2013 it’s been too long! Must catch up when I’m back in Essex soon?
2 - many colleagues hadn’t ever been in a station/spoken to an officer/seen the ‘front end’ of the crime system/been in FCR/seen any part of an investigation. Analysts need context & an understanding of policing if they are going to effectively evaluate it/come up with new ideas
“Analysts should not be mere ‘number crunchers’, producing apparent performance reports. They should be active, creative and rigorous in pursuit of a better understanding of actual performance.”
1/2 Forces need to get analysts out there, better embedded in frontline policing…
Reflecting on a tough day for Essex can I add the thoughts & prayers of all in @EssexPoliceUK for the family, friends & colleagues of Sir David Amess MP. I am proud of the work of all the officers & staff in the force & thank partners & community for their help & understanding.

A wonderful afternoon spent at @EssexPoliceUK Seeing 23 officers from @Police_Now passing out at HQ in front of @BJH251, @kitmalthouse@Hirst4EssexPFCC . Friends, families and the students themselves looked incredibly proud. A family force indeed. Well done all.
@EPDrillTeam @EssexPoliceUK@BJH251 You too Jon, I thought every single officer did you and the force proud. Was a great parade and a special and memorable occasion that will remain with the officers forever I’m sure. Sorry we didn’t get a chance to chat more! Next time…
After an intense 7 week Summer Academy I cant wait to return to the homeland to attend the passing out parade today and see the amazing group of Essex Officers standing proudly! Hope to also see some ex colleagues at @EssexPoliceUK@BJH251
The man…the legend… congrats on your retirement Danny! Clear to see the impact you had on the community, victims and indeed the force over the years. I’ll have to try and get down to 🥊 🥊 when next in Essex. Enjoy your next chapter!
I have now retired.
I have had the pleasure of serving the public for 32 years, during which I have met some wonderful people and created unforgettable experiences.
Keep safe everyone. X
