2 - many colleagues hadn’t ever been in a station/spoken to an officer/seen the ‘front end’ of the crime system/been in FCR/seen any part of an investigation. Analysts need context & an understanding of policing if they are going to effectively evaluate it/come up with new ideas

Our Chief Constable @BJH251 says he "accepts the challenge" to "rebuild the bond of trust between the police and all those who we are here to protect".

He was speaking as 55 new officers passed out today.

A wonderful afternoon spent at @EssexPoliceUK Seeing 23 officers from @Police_Now passing out at HQ in front of @BJH251, @kitmalthouse @Hirst4EssexPFCC . Friends, families and the students themselves looked incredibly proud. A family force indeed. Well done all.
