@MrBoothY6 My neighbour’s builder is breaking cement in her drive. Had to get my autistic daughter & me out for the day. Screwed up my work, our plans etc. I asked the builder to stop drilling long enough to get my daughter in the car & go. He looked at me as if I landed from another planet

@MrBoothY6 Shouldn’t it be standard policy to consider this when booking gardeners, maintenance work, etc? If one school sets the standard for neurodivergent children & teachers perhaps others will follow. It really could make a huge difference to yours & the students mental health & focus

@sarahisawriter Yeah it sucks and of course we reflect on our ability. I would feel that too. So far I haven’t had any replies to my submissions but I’m holding on to the testimonies of published authors who were rejected sometimes almost 100 times! Feel it, & when ready go 👏

@MrBoothY6 A friend who teaches kids with ADHD in Reading, used my children’s book (about ADHD) with his class & the funny thing is that aside from the kids connecting deeply & feeling validated, he (the teacher) realised he has ADHD. I didn’t realise I had it until my son was diagnosed

The submission requirements and fussiness means we get missed because although we can write good content, we struggle with the process and restrictive nature of the submission process
