My favorite PD was self created - I married a few of the items from my work portfolio and created a phenomenon-al tour . I used the backing of the congressional office to open some behind the scene doors. I got to see offshore wind turbines in the wild! #EinsteinFellows19
@KellieTaylorEdD @stephaniedharry@AEF_Program Want you all to know - I set up my tweet deck ... but apparently it doesn't do time changes automatically - so you did miss my quirky wisdom. Another reason to not be a tweet-fester, its not bicoastal intuitive.
I was attached to the office of the very lovely Rep Katherine Clark MA05 this year for my Einstein Fellowship. Today she surprised me with a Capitol Dome tour! Great way to wrap up the year-Bucket list cross off with a sharpie! #Einsteinfellows18
There's no one place within the brain that holds all of your memories, and some types of memories stick around longer than others https://t.co/XTX1LOP96M
Special shout out to Michelle, our @EinsteinFellows! A HS physics teacher from #CA, Michelle is using her decades of classroom experience to help shape ed policy on the Hill. We are lucky to have you, Michelle! #TeacherAppreciationDay
A3 I love The Martian, The Core, and San Andreas for the over 12 set and my all time ageless favorite The Lorax to spark discourse for all ages. I do never show a whole movie. I'm a movie interruptus kinda gal! Apollo 13 ( Go Nerds!) #STEM#EinsteinFellows18
A2 STEM leaders .... The Theory of Everything Comes to mind.Steven Hawkins story is so compelling, and October Sky ( although the Science teacher did die in the end ... she was pretty inspiring. #STEM#EinsteinFellows18
A1 Obvious movie choices for movie diversity choices would be Hidden Figures, and the Imitation Game - with their triumphs in spite of the circumstances. #STEM#EinsteinFellows18
HI there , I'm a Physics First teacher from San Jose, CA. My favorite STEM movies are Marvel and DC Comic Superhero movies. I love to dissect them in class - challenging my students to find the science - good, bad, and ugly! #STEM#EinsteinFellows18
Keeping the R cubed in reduce, recycle and reuse in honor of earth day. If we had enough of these eggs we could power a classroom or two? #Einsteinfellows18#askwhynotinsteadofwhy
I encourage everyone to use their natural lenses to capture memories as well.... frequently they catch what the glass lenses miss! #Einsteinfellows18#eyeswideopen
Wisdom begins in wonder. Head outside this #EarthDay and motivate your kiddos to follow their curiosity, capturing shots of their surroundings they can transform into tributes to #MotherEarth by sketching on the image. https://t.co/OeCP0PlWY9 @OliverJeffers#EveryoneCanCreate
@KellieTaylorEdD @STEMBren And I say to that high school teacher..... spend a week as a kindergarten teacher ... its a humbling experience! ( But definitely one to grow from) #EinsteinFellows18
@jlatchana I think of it as multiple exposures - doesn't research support 3ooo+ exposures to a concnept before it can be retained? We can easily divide up that 3000, to make it a bit less daunting! #EinsteinFellows18
A3 Iʼm lucky to have taught all levels from cradle to grey. I think walking in each otherʼs shoes is key. What if PD was a team teaching experience (same content) with a partner from a different level - before or after a teacherʼs current assignment? #EinsteinFellows18#STEMideas
