@FrontlineEdu Is there a possibilty of getting a Classroom accomodation screen in your RTI/MTSS system just like you have in the 504 plans and IEPs? #MTSS#accommodations
@AskFrontier Still haven't received my QR code to return modem after call to customer service. Tried requesting a return mailer and it says no equipment to return. What now?
@JellyRoll615@omgitsbunnie You're both great supporters of making everyone feel included, no matter their circumstances! Check out @Ellasway, a charity that does the same. It gives books about kindness, inclusion, and diversity to schools. A repost would be appreciated!
@WeAreTeachers Before buying any of these for college, check the syllabus. Even though the T1-84 CE is allowed on standardized testing, the CE wasn't allowed for my son's calculus class.
@EdWeekTeacher I wrote and self-published a children's book right before school let out. I spent the summer trying to market it. Usually, I'm a job coach for teens with special needs during the summer.
@PBSKIDS Try Beau the Boxer's First Day of School. It's about a dog that finds things to do at school so all his friends can participate, even though they all have differing needs. https://t.co/wmsqTlu6rm
Check out our book byte for Beau the Boxer's First Day at School on @StorytimePup. It focuses on inclusion and kindness. Teachers, make sure to add it to your Amazon list! https://t.co/aHGE26slme

@TexasTribune No raises and our insurance premiums for family coverage increased again this year. Basically if teachers get TRS Healthcare for their family, they received pay CUTS.
@madelee4444 @LHS_Schmidt Trying to truly learn why parents want vouchers, without arguing. Can you let me know what is stopping you from enrolling your child now in private school. Vouchers won't pay for a third of tuition here in my area? What could they change in public schools to change your decision?
@Yathatsbullsh_t@MarkWigginsTX I hope that helps explain some of the issues without yelling. Also, the same governing body saying public schools are so awful are the people ultimately in charge of public school curriculum, state assessments, and teacher certification. So, in summary, they're the problem!!
@Yathatsbullsh_t@MarkWigginsTX Problem 5: If a student starts at a non-public school with voucher funds, then returns to a public school, there isn't procedures in place on how the public school will get the student alloted funds to now educate that student since it's been used already.
@Yathatsbullsh_t@MarkWigginsTX Problem 4: Non public schools don't have to accept everyone, even if they take voucher money. Anyone can be turned down. Again making it impossible to make a fair comparison to public schools who take everyone.
@Yathatsbullsh_t@MarkWigginsTX Problem 3: The non-public schools receiving this money will not be held to the same curriculum(TEKS) and assessments (STAAR)that Texas requires of Public schools- no means of assessing whether the vouchers actually work if you can't compare data.
@Yathatsbullsh_t@MarkWigginsTX Problem 2: No transportation will be provided, no matter if there are only public schools in your area. Many rural areas don't have anything other than public schools.
@Yathatsbullsh_t@MarkWigginsTX Problem 1: Vouchers only give a tiny percentage of tuition money. Parents still have to pay the rest, which isn't feasible for most people in the middle and lower class.
