Friday, 1 May 2026, a truck was stopped on the N3 Van Reenen’s Pass and within minutes, black crowds descended like vultures, grabbing crates while traffic backed up for kilometres🔥

This is one of South Africa’s busiest routes between KZN and Gauteng and this keeps happening.

Her elderly neighbor’s alarm tore through the sunset like a dying scream. "No, not today. Not again." Her heart slammed against her ribs so hard she thought it might burst. Pure terror flooded her veins, but her legs moved anyway, sprinting blindly toward the sound. "What if it’s already too late? What if they’re already inside? Run faster. Don’t you dare stop!"

She reached the old lady's gate, chest heaving, lungs burning when two men exploded from the shadows like devils from hell. Their eyes were wild, glassy, and inhuman, locked onto her. "No. Please God, no." They seized her with crushing force, yanking at her clothes, their rough hands tearing fabric and digging into her flesh. Their laughter was sickening, mocking the horror twisting across her face as the realization hit her like a blade. "They’re going to get me. They’re going to hold me down and destroy me right here." One of them had a backpack. Knives? Rope? Worse? She couldn’t understand their guttural language, but the animal grunting said everything; filthy, hungry, soulless. Their odor. She knew there and then that she would never forget their odor.

"Fight back! Don’t let them win!" She exploded into a frenzy, clawing at their faces, kicking, twisting, biting, anything to break free. But their hands were everywhere, groping, squeezing, violating. She was not strong enough. They’re too big. "This is how it ends. This is how so many of us end." Panic swallowed her whole. Her strength began to fail. In pure desperation, she stopped fighting, eyes clamped shut, body shaking violently as hot tears burned down her cheeks. "Please, Lord Most High, hear me! Don’t let them take me like this. Not in front of my home. Not while my daughter sleeps just meters away. I beg You."

Tires suddenly screeched to a halt. Bright headlights flooded the street. The neighborhood watch had come, responding to the house alarm. The two animals snarled curses and fled into the darkness like the devils they were. They hadn't made it to the old lady. She got in the way.

As the adrenaline collapsed inside of her, she doubled over, vomiting from sheer terror, legs barely holding her up. Her first clear thought pierced through the haze, "My baby. My beautiful daughter sleeping next door. How terrifyingly close they both came to becoming another blood-soaked statistic." Just another mother and child the world forgets by morning.

On Sunday 28 April 2024, two attackers opened fire on residents of two neighbouring families on a farm between Fouriesburg and Ficksburg.

- A 10-year-old boy was shot in the stomach and killed on the scene.
- A 19-year-old woman was shot multiple times in the upper body and thigh. She succumbed to her wounds in hospital the following evening (Monday 29 April).

Five other victims (three women and two men) were also shot and hospitalised.

All victims are described as ordinary neighbouring families.

The attackers arrived on foot, fired indiscriminately, and fled on foot before getting into a waiting vehicle on the R26. Motive remains unknown. No arrests reported.

For privacy, the families have requested that their names are not released.

I'm not interested in South Africa just because it's heartbreaking to watch a nation with so much raw potential get hollowed out, though it is.

I'm interested in South Africa because it's a warning of what happens when you replace merit with race, when grievance becomes policy, when forgiveness is skipped and revenge is dressed up as justice, and when you stop seeing individuals and start seeing groups.

That's not a South African problem. That's a human one. And the West is not as far from it as it thinks.

‘A dead snake that will never wake up again’, Ngizwe Mchunu hits back at Julius Malema’s R1 million lawsuit threat

In a strongly worded rant that has gone viral today, prominent MK Party supporter and activist Ngizwe Mchunu has called EFF leader Julius Malema a “dead snake that will never wake up again” and a “sellout” who betrays South Africans for foreigners.

Mchunu was responding directly to legal action initiated by Malema, who is demanding R1 million in damages.

He dismissed the threat, telling Malema to “go piss himself” and daring him to confront him at marches or in Nkandla instead of through the courts.

The outburst erupted after Mchunu, during a march near the Union Buildings in Pretoria on 28 April 2026, accused EFF leader Julius Malema of receiving R60 million from Nigerian drug dealers in exchange for shielding illegal foreigners and risking his political career to protect them.
