Hello @Hertz
I am trying to book a car in the UK using a rental certificate credit of $100, valid for 1 year. That credit was given to me following a previous booking because:
a) I’d tried to extend the booking but your app didn't work and the team at Gatwick Terminal South wouldn't pick up the phone
b) because one of your staff took some of my personal information
c) because your complaints webform was broken
I tried to use that credit note on my next booking (made for the same day) but the team at Gatwick Terminal South wouldn’t accept it. Furthemore, they wouldn't process my booking without me providing a UK DVLA check code, which I hadn't had to provide during the previous booking process, online or at the counter, nor had I received any information asking me to provide this code.
Your Customer Service Representative then asked for my National Insurance number. Given my previous experience with my personal information I asked why I needed to provide it, but they were unable to explain why, as their English was limited. Eventually the on duty Manager explained why, but still wouldn't process my rental certificate. This led to a 90 minute delay leaving the airport.
This week I tried to make another online booking and to redeem that $100 rental certificate, but there is nowhere to enter that code in your process. I contacted your Customer Service team by email yesterday to ask how I redeem the certificate but still haven't had a response. Today I phoned the booking team: the person I spoke to was unable to make herself heard over her surrounding colleagues which, compounded with a poor line, made for a very poor experience. Eventually, she managed to tell me that the only way to resolve my issue quickly was via your website Customer Service Chat.
Your Chat person told me that “The support team has received your response, they will handle your case shortly. Please note that this may take 3-5 working days to get in touch with you” and that “You will have to wait for the response from the customer relations team.”
So, on three separate booking experiences I’ve dealt with: a broken app, unanswered phones, and a broken webform; Customer Service Representatives who won’t process your own credit notes, and an unclear UK DVLA check code process (with out-of-date information on your website); booking staff unable to make themselves heard due to their working environment, a Chat process that is a waste of time, and a Customer Complaints process that takes 3-5 days irrespective of the customer’s circumstances and schedule.
This isn’t customer service, its customer deflection, designed to make the customer give up and go away.
Please advise how I can redeem the certificate for the first booking cost quoted.
Thanks

@MsMelChen Possibly because Britain was a constitutional monarchy from around the death of Purcell and the rest of Europe were absolute monarchies, who employed the great composers at court, which had an established pipeline/process for commissioning works?
Indeed it is. From Wikipedia:
“In Cockney rhyming slang, "Hampton Wick" (often shortened to "Hampton") means "dick" or "prick", both of which are British vulgar slang names for the penis. Hence a character called Hugh Jampton (a Cockney homophone of "huge Hampton") in the 1950s BBC radio programme The Goon Show.”

Its not hard at all.
Grok could be used to enforce X's Authenticity policy i.e. if an account when created/updated copies/mimics an existing username/bio/profile photo then there’s a flag against it. Also, we should be able to see the actual changed “username” under “About this account”, as well as the number of changes, and also see bio/profile photo changes.I've suggested this to @nikitabier before but not had a reply - understandable though.
Some feedback on Grok Imagine:
- I’d prefer to see the he “type to imagine” prompt box top centre, it feels counterintuitive to keep on having to look for it at the bottom of the page (but that could be a Settings option)
- I think Templates and Discover (Galleries) should be split out on to separate pages, both should have scroll over text on the image so that i know what that art/animation is about and what its for (is it to use or just to look at).
- why am I not seeing any scroll bars and how do i scroll right?
Some feedback on Grok
- instead of Chat and Voice, there should only be one link to the the “type to imagine” prompt box (as i don’t see the value in differentiating the user journey based on the mode of prompt entry)
- the Search function just searches a user’s project space / work folder - so why is it given the top spot in the list ? For it to have this spot it should be a universal Search.
- where’s the link to Grokipedia?
Overall, I think there should be more differentiation between the Grok and Grok Imagine. They are two different tools for different activities with different outputs. With Grok I’m trying to learn/understand something and want to see Grok’s answers, and/or look at Grokipedia. When I’m using Imagine I’m trying to create something and want to see my own creation, and potentially use it.
