@DuskyTCG@Raphterra And I would preferably always attack for at least 6k. Make them use their events for counter and not to get rid of your board. At the moment I'm 15-1 against one of my friends on penel. He's a decent player and have his finals invite secured aswell.
@DuskyTCG@Raphterra Or 5 and leaving a don open for counter event (at this point the highest they will probably attack are 5-6 and 7k). Don't swing with your weenies until after you can confidently replace them each turn. Make the Enel player answer your board, not the other way around. โ
@DuskyTCG@Raphterra Above characters power level either requires them to pay with two cards from hand over letting that character die..
I would always choose first curve, ideally you play Luffy first, second turn two 2cost and swing 6 with leader. Third turn buggy I to prisoner, either 6 with โ
@Tianskieeedoobi I haven't tested the matchup yet, but was just under the impression that the matchup was NAMI favoured.
I can see the lines that would make the matchup decent for guffy, a lot of 6k bodies, swing 7,7,7 and freeze.
@gavingeinin@Ciccio18tcg What's your overall gameplan against teach? I have been trying different approaches. Develop an enel on curve, and KO every big body he plays afterwards. Develop several enels, focusing on planting reijus since he can't rest them and they are often a free block.
@Ciccio18tcg@gavingeinin Well against NAMI you only really have to play around perona, Rayleigh and moria trigger.
Against teach you have to play around Vasco shot, van augaur, doc Q, 8cost teach, black vortex (if he plays it), and all the characters on board that he can redirect into.
It's kinda crazy how much there still is to learn on penel. Lost a game on turn 1 because I dropped down two 1 cost characters and went to 0 don!! Instead of only playing one and using the leader ability on my turn 2, so I could play Franky and cycle
2/4 EGB won, so overall happy
@FenoHS Swing 10 with enel, block, swing 10 with the other enel, block. 11 with reiju he takes, play shura over the reiju with 4 attached, use leader effect, attach 4 rested to reiju and the last two active don, swing 13.
@sormiltcg@Ciccio18tcg@BruniTCG The matchup feels penel favoured. Develop an enel on curve and just KO their 6drop and 8drop, then it's pretty easy. 4 varie feels like a must tho.
