@CaseyErinMcK Sorry, I can’t help with baking one, I just ship or drive back 1/4 sheet cake from NJ. Styertowne Bakery!Lol It’s so good and mostly crumb layer!
Your job in a virtual classroom isnt to get 100% participation from your students. That expectation is unrealistic and largely out of your control. Your job is to continue to provide your students opportunities to grow, learn & succeed. If you're doing that, you're doing enough.
What a busy wk for work and attending 2 #virtualconference! A silver lining of both being online, is that I did not have to choose this year. #asmcue#saber showing resiliency to ‘travel’ hundreds of miles to keep learning from each other & remember our scholarly communities!
I tried to capture the moment of presenting with @MicroDocParks to one of my largest audiences (~115 people) about STEM identity and course-based research. #asmcue#virtualconference
@Prof_Buchner You can keep that habit going into next year! There have been only a few awkward moments at #ASMCUE after my early gym run, when catching up with folks leaving the elevator as they go to breakfast... lol
We are actively planning how to run the Fermentation lab online this Fall. For our CURE cluster, we will likely do blended home experiments (following the ASM safety guidelines) and data mining from public microbiome and microbial ecology databases. #ASMCUE@MicrobeDocParks
Who wants to answer the question of how body weight can be controlled by neural mechanisms? The @roseberrylab is ready to figure out the answer, just apply to be their new post doc! #research#stem@GSUArtSci@GSU_Research
A pretty sight for the walk to/from work in NYC. Maybe even more important is the less flooded sidewalks/streets and diversity of natural life in the urban setting! #urbanmicrobiome#dailyecology
It’s raining again?! Good thing we’re doubling the number of rain gardens on our streets. They look like normal tree pits, but they're designed to absorb a lot of rain water and nourish a beautiful garden.
Trying to get more involved as new faculty means spending my morning learning the GSU message & training to be a part of the @GSU_Biology communications team. #scicomm#thestateway
