@UTHealthHouston patients should know the education level and training of the people they see. Calling a nurse “doctor” can be very confusing for patients.
@Gabby_Brauner27 Since every male nurse/tech/transport person is called “Doctor”, it’s a male/female thing. I would politely say, “I prefer Dr. __. How would like to be addressed?” Also, when I walk in I introduce myself as Dr. Young and address the patient as Mr/Ms__
