A productive meeting with colleagues today, seeing the progress being made on peatland rehabilitation and nature restoration. With almost 26,000ha restored and it’s a great example of how climate action, biodiversity and renewable energy can work together.

Carcass searches using dogs in defined areas, species specific vantage point & breeding/wintering surveys in monitoring years 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, & 15. Crazy!

@fiannafailparty The reality of what's hidden from the public of constructing wind farms on bogs can be seen on the MT.Dillon bogs here in Longford, where nesting habitats of red listed species of conservation is continously removed, water pumped off the bogs continously, farmlands flooded.....
