We are a charitable Lowland Search and Rescue organisation. We can be called out by the Police, County Emergency Planning Officers or other ALSAR search teams.
The Team were called in the early hours to assist @bedspolice. As Teams were deploying from the RVP. we received the good news that the missing person was found safely.

We've been a little quiet on Twitter/X, but not quiet in assisting @bedspolice and @HertsPolice . We're already up to 8 Callouts this year. Our Professional Volunteers continue to operate and train in all weathers 24/7 and are available when needed.
POLSA call at 21:50; 16 people responding by 22:05; first people on scene and searching commenced 22:25. Teams leave at 04:00 and arrive home 05:15. All unpaid, all professional.

2024 week 1 figures. 6 callouts and 6 standby arising from 8 different incidents. 2 search incidents and 6 flood response . Total callout hrs are 784, of which 679 are search related. . Out of the 7 days, we had activity on 6 of them, and on 2 of them had multiple incidents BUSY!

The Team attended a couple of floodings in Central Bedfordshire to ensure well-being into the early hours of this morning. Working with friend from @BC4x4Response who also attended the flood in Stotfold to support the stretched Emergency Services.
