Today’s theme for Emergency Preparedness Month is ‘Household Resilience’.
The Building Resilience in Communities (BRIC) Project, funded by DfI Rivers Directorate, and through support from multi-agency partners has recently launched the ‘5 Steps to be Ready’ campaign. Mid Ulster District Council has appointed a new Chair and Deputy Chair for 2026-27.
Councillor Deirdre Varsani (SF) is the new Chair, with Councillor Eva Cahoon (DUP) named as Deputy Chair.
Both appointments are for one year.
