Bronx residents shouldn’t have to go to Brooklyn, Queens or LI when our beach is right here just so we can enjoy harassment free beach going in our entire beach. This only happens here at Orchard Beach @NYCMayor

I’m just sick of this. Ankle deep water with Parks PD driving back and forth telling people they can’t stand in the water because there isn’t a lifeguard. There hasn’t been a lifeguard outside of the center of the beach for years and years. It’s stupid @NYCMayor

If there was any NY beach I would cut lifeguards it WOULD be Orchard Beach because it is so small with EXCELLENT visibility. But to make people crowd the center is stupid. But what do I know. @NYCMayor

The no wading rule at Orchard Beach needs to go. Telling adults in ankle deep water to stand in the lifeguard area is dumb. With Park PD, NYPD, FDNY AND drones if anyone in the no lifeguard area actually ever needed help it would be there in seconds. @NYCMayor
