President John Dramani Mahama has directed the immediate dissolution of the Board of Trustees of the National Cathedral of Ghana Project.

The directive requires the Board, chaired by Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah, to formally hand over the National Cathedral project site to the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs by 31st October, 2026, as government moves to determine the future of the stalled project.
