As El Niño drought bites, farmers in Mberengwa Ward 32 are restoring 45+ hectares through FMNR, improving grazing, securing firewood and running a honey project with 100+ beehives. 🌳🐝

Let’s talk about something many don’t like to address, church competition and hurt. It’s real. It’s painful. And it’s happening more often than we admit.
Somewhere along the line, the church became a place where people compete instead of grow. Titles replaced service. Popularity replaced purpose. Applause replaced anointing.
Suddenly, people are comparing who sings better, who preaches deeper, who dresses finer, who prays louder. The focus shifted, from God to performance.
The saddest part? Many left God’s house, not because of God, but because of people. People who judged, ignored, or manipulated in the name of “spiritual order.”
Church hurt runs deep. It’s not just disappointment. It’s betrayal from a place that was meant to heal. It’s being wounded by hands that once prayed for you.
But listen, your pain is valid. What they did was wrong. But don’t let it push you away from God. Leave the building if you must, but don’t leave your faith.
Healing starts when you stop pretending it didn’t hurt. It’s okay to admit it broke you. It’s okay to cry. It’s okay to take time away. Just don’t build walls around your heart.
Not every church is toxic. Not every leader is manipulative. There are still genuine people serving God sincerely, quietly, humbly, purely.
If you’ve been in a toxic church environment, learn from it. Grow from it. Don’t let bitterness define your spiritual identity.
Remember: you serve God, not the system. You follow Christ, not cliques. You seek truth, not trends.
Move on with wisdom, not hatred. Forgive, but stay discerning. Return to fellowship when your heart is ready, not when guilt pushes you.
Church should be a place of grace, not competition. Of restoration, not rivalry. Of love, not labels.
If you’re reading this, maybe you’ve been hurt. Maybe you’re healing. Maybe you’re trying to believe again. Take your time. God still wants you close.
Final truth: the church is made of humans, imperfect, fragile, learning. Don’t confuse their flaws for God’s failure. He’s still good.
Heal. Grow. Find peace again. And remember, the goal was never to fit in. It was always to know Him.
