🚨 This may be one of the most important AI infrastructure stories right now
And it perfectly explains why I own $LB and $TPL.
Oracle. $ORCL just sent a force majeure notice tied to Project Jupiter, a massive AI data center in New Mexico.
The numbers are insane.
👉 2.45 GW of planned power.
Enough electricity for roughly 1.8 million homes.
~20 banks provided an $18 BILLION construction loan.
And now debt tied to the project is already trading below 90 cents on the dollar. $OWL is involved.
What went wrong?
The physical world (not demand!)
Permits.
Power.
Natural gas.
Infrastructure.
A key pipeline that was supposed to supply the project has been delayed by nearly six months after repeated permit denials.
‼️THIS is the part of the AI boom I'm obsessed with.
Everyone wants the chips.
Everyone wants the models.
But you cannot build a 2-GW data center on a PowerPoint presentation.
You need enormous amounts of:
• Land
• Power
• Natural gas
• Water
• Pipelines
• Roads
• Permits
And increasingly, you need all of them in the same place.
That is exactly where $LB LandBridge and $TPL Texas Pacific Land become so interesting.
LandBridge controls 325,000+ surface acres around the Permian and says it now has 7 power/digital infrastructure counterparties representing more than 10 GW of potential generation across its footprint.
TPL is already providing land and water for multi-gigawatt power/data center development in West Texas.
Think about the contrast.
Project Jupiter is struggling because the infrastructure surrounding the data center matters just as much as the servers inside it.
Meanwhile, LB and TPL own enormous amounts of strategically located land in one of the most energy-rich regions on Earth.
They don't have to build the next great AI model, but can sell the picks and shovels beneath it.
Land.
Water.
Easements.
Infrastructure access.
Power optionality.
The AI boom may not run into a demand problem first.
It may run into the physical world.
And I want to own the physical world.
ICYMI: this week, Centrus inked a definitive contract with @xenergynuclear to supply #LEU and #HALEU to fuel XE’s XE-100 reactors and Triso-X. This is what restoring Americas nuclear fuel supply chain looks like.
$XE has signed a definitive agreement with $LEU to secure LEU and HALEU enrichment services, an important step toward fueling a portion of our first Xe-100 reactor deployments and the TRISO-X fuel that will power them.
The agreement strengthens the domestic HALEU supply chain by connecting the capabilities of the only two commercially licensed HALEU facilities in the U.S., supporting the commercial deployment of advanced nuclear energy.
