Today's reflection is a Thomas Watson quote shared by pastor and author, Tim Challies (@challies):
"It is better to go with difficulty to heaven, than with ease to Hell."
~ Thomas Watson
May you live this day not based on what is easy, but what is eternal.
In Romans chapter 9, Paul points out the foolishness of a creature questioning the purposes and actions of its Creator.

Where does a believer's faith rest?
"My faith rests not upon what I am, or shall be, or feel, or know, but in what Christ is, in what he has done, and in what he is now doing for me."
- Charles Spurgeon

Clearly, God will accomplish what he intends to accomplish (what he decrees). His decretive will is never thwarted. But what about Godโs preceptive will? God gives us his law but we certainly fall very short of the law he has given us: https://t.co/qfBtlspic9
It was an honor to sit down with Tommy Davidson, pastor of Riverside Baptist Church. In this interview segment, Tommy discusses what it has been like to adopt an amillennial perspective after coming from a dispensational background: https://t.co/dHJbhVcq3t

If eschatology informs us of our destiny, how crucial then is it to ensure we study with care? Thank you, Pastor Tommy Davidson for sharing your insights on the importance of sound doctrine and eschatology.
God's words and his actions are always in agreement. God spoke and there was light. He spoke all of creation into being.

Powerful words from theologian Jonathan Edwards in this timely reminder from For The Gospel!
Have you experienced the knowledge of God's Word "for the benefit of your soul"?
โSeek not to grow in knowledge chiefly for the sake of applause, and to enable you to dispute with others; but seek it for the benefit of your souls.โ
-Jonathan Edwards

I donโt consider amillennialism pessimistic because the Bible presents a hopeful future. While persecution and suffering continue until the end, other than the brief time when Satan is released, the gospel continues to move forward in power.
Left to our own human arrogance, we turn our view of things upside down.
