#Mariners Ken Griffey Jr. robbed Albert Belle of this home run 30 years ago today, on May 5, 1996.
Junior finished that season with 49 home runs, Belle with 48.
Dalton Rushing after seeing Jung Hoo Lee possibly injured in a play at the plate (I’m pretty sure):
“F$&k em”
Giants Dodgers rivalry is alive and well.
So often in sports we ask for the authentic version of the pros, but when we get it, a lot of you can’t handle it.
Tony Vitello is going to say what’s on his mind and we should be applauding that, plain and simple. We got a glimpse into the Giants clubhouse, which is awesome.
Even though I’m in a new time slot now, pretty cool to crack the top 20 in 2025, appreciate all the listeners and Drive Guys is off to a 🔥 start 🙏🏿 #thegrind
As it turns out, the guy that slept with his campaign manager‘s wife & grenaded California’s economy into tens of billions of dollars in budget deficit has no moral or formal authority at all.
Gavin Newsom should see his way out of this conversation
🚨BREAKING: Gavin Newsom BLOCKS Trump’s “NO TAX ON TIPS” for CA Service Workers.
The OBBA Act gave all Americans a $25k deduction on their tips in service (ie. restaurants), which is a benefit that will not apply to a few states. CA has a static conformity policy making it so legislation must be passed for it to conform to the new Internal Revenue Code (IRC).
CA’s deadline to do this for OBBA was January 1st of this year, however, it did not do so. This leaves service workers burdened with continued state taxation of tips. A bill in the forty-member State Senate sought to change this August 29th, 2024, however, 29 lawmakers voted in the negative.
All this while the Governor campaigns for POTUS 2028 on “affordability.” Don’t believe him because he decoupled from federal tax cuts over ideological disagreements with the President. The benefits of OBBA are retroactive to January 2025, but depend on CA’s willingness to conform.
On another note: LAO predicts a $2.9 billion budget shortfall for CA this year.
Objectively, how do you defend this:

We often hear about the negatives of drinking alcohol, but longevity physician Dr. Peter Attia says he still drinks in moderation, when social benefits outweigh the negatives.
“Try to never have more than two drinks in a day. And try to never drink more than three hours before bedtime because it will negatively impact your sleep,” says Attia.
“If you can limit yourself to no more than six or seven drinks a week,” he adds, “I can't tell you that it will have no negative effect on your health, but I think the effect is so small that it probably comes out in the wash.” https://t.co/afdyTq2MFr
