@PittGuru Harry - a couple things
1) its a bit of a contradictory message from these 3 guys since they all passed on Pitt once and probably twice in the QBs instance?
2) theyd all still be at their previous schools had they been getting significant playing time/not been on a bad BC team
@Dejan_Kovacevic I will guarantee you that attendance is 90% people who are born and raised in Pittsburgh. Go check your demographics before making those comments.
I think it's mostly people who didn't live here at the time. No way anyone who here wouldn't know about Franco being the most vocal, visible opponent of the Penguins' plan to stay in Pittsburgh. He'd become public enemy No. 1 with local hockey fans. And SHOULD be that forever.
Imagine referring to the Penn State whiteout having an 'origin story' without acknowledging the *actual* origin in #Winnipeg. Or having a broadcaster in the article hail Penn State's whiteout as 'a stroke of genius' when it 100% began elsewhere. How myopic can anyone get?
@Dejan_Kovacevic @mryannagy It’s amazing how you have a pulse on every store and business owner down here. You are a true champion of the city. Greatest city on earth by a LONG SHOT if you ask me. But also 5th avenue looks like Beirut - needs cleaned up.
@Dejan_Kovacevic Pittsburgh always gets it right if you ask me. First class town with first class people. Literally get chills when i leave for work in the morning b/c I live here.
@audsnyder4@32tbyrd The thing to remember also is it’s pretty safe to assume the assistant salary pool is still not where it could/should be albeit much deeper than a few years ago. Not gonna say he’s not going anymore but to dismiss the notion that he’s trying to leverage is just ridiculous.
