@tomxrawle@TheExiledRobin@RobinNestBCFC I’m not sure he’ll be a striker. He’s mostly be used as a left winger or 10 this season. I can see him being a wide forward for us.
@RealBristolBoy@DanCarterJourno Or don’t force a back 3 and switch to a back 4 where everyone would be more comfortable. McCrorie or Borges as RCB worry me.
@TheExiledRobin He also got subs and change of shape wrong in game. We shouldn’t have gone two up top, we had become comfortable and dominate in the shape. Wrexham finding it hard to deal with, that changed when we went two up top. He hasn’t made many mistakes tbf.
@RealBristolBoy We were more comfortable in our shape when Knight came on. Still need another option in CM to give Randell a rest. I’m more confident in our away performances, 4pts is possible from the next 2. That’ll set us up nicely for a busy December.
@RealBristolBoy We started 442 diamond, switched to 352 on and off. Vyners position is switching from DM and CB. Fluid! I’m not sure 2 strikers work tbh so I’d get Knight on and switch to 343, which suits us best imo.
@_W00KS_@3PIAPC 5.0. Hints of Manning’s Bristol city there. Poor decision to move Vyner to LCB and poor substitutions all round. 6 games, 1 defeat. Could be worse.
@RealBristolBoy@DanCarterJourno They would have known he was leaving at least 3 wks ago. They should be able to find, negotiate and be ready to announce a replacement in that time. This isn’t their first rodeo, should have learnt by now. The risk of losing no 1 target to another club is greater by the day.
@bcfcEJ Oldham 43 games, 14 wins. Sacked
Swindon 83 games, 35 wins. Sacked
Salford 30 games, 11 wins. Sacked
Doncaster 26 games, 6 wins. Sacked
That is pretty shit tbh! He’s had a good run at Leyton Orient yes, but not enough evidence to suggest he’s the man for us IMO
@TheExiledRobin@Section_82 Best 45 of the season first half. The odd nervous moment from there on but generally managed the game well. Looked a very good side, definitely felt like tonight was big.
@RealBristolBoy@DanCarterJourno TBF, our first choice ended up at Schalke, looks a player. Cov example is extreme, they spent 7m on Simms. There must be a striker in the 3m bracket that would have worked. The squad is very healthy In most positions, we are a goalscorer short of being a genuine top 6 side IMO.
@RealBristolBoy@DanCarterJourno Could we have bought a more established striker for the combined fee we will pay for SA and FM ?
The main frustration is that we spent the summer saying we are after a goalscorer only to buy two that simply don’t score.
SA will become a player IMO, do we have time to wait?
@TheExiledRobin@BristolCityFM He is out of his depth I’m afraid, the Lansdowns trust and like him, that’s why he has the job. Apart from Ashton, they’ve had trouble placing their faith in external experienced DoF, so they don’t last long. Id love to know what really happened with Phill Alexander.
@RealBristolBoy@BS3_BCFC It’s been an issue in most games, sometimes it’s our final ball as well. Been a problem for a while. Our forwards are young, raw and not goalscorers … yet!
