Another thing we did with Ernie as his mobility issues worsened…throw rugs around the entire first floor of our house. He got to a point where he couldn’t stand up on the hardwoods by himself. Too slippery. We also got him a harness with handles above both sets of legs so we could help him up. ❤️

Our Ernie lived to be 15+. His biggest issues became joint pain & mobility. For him, gabapentin was a God-send. It allowed him an extended quality of life which he, otherwise, would not have had. Being that age with joint issues, drowsiness and wobbles were already a part of his existence.

The food is just laying on the towel/plate I used to drain the fat off the bacon. No licking of the plate allowed. Each dog gets 1/3 of the food. The bacon represents one total slice. So 2/6 (or 1/3) slice of bacon per dog. I had to refresh on my fraction math before answering… 😉
