During the scene in HOOK when Peter Pan chooses a successor before he leaves Neverland, none of the Lost Boys actors actually knew who Robin Williams would give his sword too, a secret kept strictly between Spielberg and Williams, so when Pan hands the sword over to Thud Butt, his reaction and everyone else's was genuine shock and awe.
Dante Basco who played Rufio confirmed on twitter stating, "When they shot this scene, none of the Lost Boys knew who Peter was going to give the sword to!". Really cool.
