@eightadam8@EricLDaugh@grok You know what else could prevent those deaths? Their leaders allocating their resources accordingly. Not putting policy, and agencies meant to oversee these policies, (more hands to pay, thus less resources in aid) constantly paying for a bandage for a problem that needs surgery
@mal_stuart2024@eightadam8@EricLDaugh@grok That's not to say that our aid isnt helping, but if these places dont step up for their own people, we're only delaying their deaths
@mal_stuart2024@eightadam8@EricLDaugh@grok The supplies have to be shipped to where they're going. Everything comes with a cost, and the more people and policy get wrapped up in it, the more hands that pull from those donations, leaving intended recipients a fraction of what was initially sent to them.
@eightadam8@EricLDaugh@grok You think that aid reaches hands without somebody being paid? Grok said itself that its not fully verified and that its based on models instead of actual counts. Calling it a conspiracy theory is just a cop out.
@eightadam8@EricLDaugh@grok You realize that these are projected numbers (models rather than direct counts) and that it doesn't confirm that the funds were spent properly. Alot of the money goes to organization staff and advertising this 'aid'. People were dying with aid, so it doesn't prove much
@tobim308@Brenda_K0 Extreme take... nobody has to abolish the constitution, only vote on an amendment. Similar to how we started and ended prohibition.
@RageBaitUK@EdKrassen And let's be real, not to take anything from actual victims of abuse, but there are plenty of people who'll make an allegation in hopes of a payday. Not saying this is the case for every allegation, but these situations should be view with some skepticism, until proven otherwise
@RageBaitUK@EdKrassen They probably would still support him, that's irrelevant to the topic though. If I got an injunction on nearly everything I attempted to do, and you claim I broke promises, and imply things I didn't specifically say, id be hostile to reporters and judges too.
@RageBaitUK@EdKrassen Quotes easily get taken out of context. Its the very reason the Jan 6 narrative didn't stick on Trump. Everyone was up in arms over 'we're gonna march to the capital and fight' when there was more said in between capital, and fight. Not to mention offering national guard.
@RageBaitUK@EdKrassen Think about comments like waging war on Chicago... when you ask questions with those types of implications, you're embedding a narrative in your questioning. Simple people would hear the question and immediately join the 'he's waging war' bandwagon
@BelindaWebste13@realJohnJohnJr So there's nothing wrong with framing topics with inflammatory rhetoric rather than calling it what it is? DC just went through the same thing, didn't look like a war zone to me
