Jurassic Park's 30th anniversary is right around the corner. For the occasion, here's another T. rex I've been working on, with colouration inspired by the original Kenner toy from 1993.
Stylized Ceratosaurus model, based on its appearance in Jurassic Park 3.
One thing I love about JP3 is the bold colours and patterns incorporated into the creature designs, something I'd like to see more of in future films.
@Lord_Kristine Agreed. I also like to describe it as contemporary or modern interpretations rather than "accurate". Our understanding is always changing and improving, and the usage of accuracy as an absolute term can be misleading for a lot of people.
@Mr_Troodon@omegafreelancer Not a mess up, It being small was a defining characteristic they deliberately adhere to.
and in the TellTale case where lore implies juveniles, they never show a big one in-game because that's not the intended appearance for the creature.
Think of it like a brand image.
@Mr_Troodon@omegafreelancer Crash Mcreery was asked about the topic in an interview with adobe recently, he said the impression they had back then was that it was an adult despite the size.
@Riamus01 Not entirely the original model. They sent him a base to work with and Manuel had to sculpt in new detail and retexture them himself (and he did an amazing job doing so).
Feathered version of the raptor I made back at the start of October.
I wanted a design that could translate between a feathered and featherless variant. More in the replies...
