💔The Sad Story of Enock Mwepu "The Computer"
🔸️Imagine being 24, a national captain, and a rising star in the Premier League. You’ve just helped Brighton beat Leicester 5-2, providing a brilliant assist in what felt like just the beginning of your journey.
🔸️But then, on a flight to represent Zambia, everything stops. A sudden illness in the air leads to a diagnosis no athlete wants to hear, a hereditary heart condition that makes every second on the pitch a life-threatening risk.
🔸️On October 10, 2022, Enock Mwepu, nicknamed "The Computer" for his genius on the field had to tell the world his dream was over. He was told he could never play again for the sake of his own life.
🔸️🗣"Some dreams however come to an end." Those were his words as he hung up his boots at an age when most careers are just taking flight. From a small township in Zambia to the pinnacle of football, only to be stopped by the very heart that drove him there.
🔸️The tragedy isn't just the lost goals. It’s the "what if." What if his heart hadn't sent that warning signal on that flight? We might have lost a man, not just a player.
🔸️ Today in 2026, Enock is still at the club. He has spent the last three years coaching Brighton’s Under-9s, teaching the next generation that while a heart can fail, a spirit doesn't have to. A true hero of the game.
