Yet, despite collecting these precious gems, nothing out of the ordinary seems to occur—no hidden paths open, no secrets are revealed. Curious and slightly puzzled, Mira recalls Sensei’s cryptic words. Glancing at the overlooked cluster of ruby crystals nearby, she wonders aloud, “Maybe we need to combine them all?”

Nodding in agreement, her friends quickly shift their focus. With a determined swing, she breaks off a piece gently placing them beside their blue and green counterparts, and immediately, a gentle hum fills the cavern. The group pauses, exchanging wide-eyed glances as all three crystals begin to radiate with synchronized pulses of vibrant light.

Before their eyes, the colors merge, swirling together in a mesmerizing dance. Sparkling particles rise into the air, shimmering like stardust. Then, in a breathtaking burst of brilliance, the crystals transform, cascading down into golden coins bearing an inviting, warm symbol—a cheerful embrace etched into each one. Chapter 7 – The Mining Quest

Mira and her friends follow the winding paths toward the old mine Sensei described, only to discover it’s more of a labyrinth than a simple tunnel. Dim torchlight flickers on damp walls as they push deeper, each step echoing in the still air. Eventually, they stumble upon the spot marked by three torches, their flames dancing in red, blue, and green—exactly as Sensei had foretold.

They’re already exhausted, their energy waning, but with pickaxes in hand, they break through the wall behind the torches. The rumble of collapsing stone reveals a vast cavern, glittering with countless crystals. It’s clear no Plooshy has set foot here before—how did Sensei even know of this hidden chamber?

Breathing heavily, they pause to eat the food they packed, regaining the strength to press on. Now reinvigorated, they examine the crystals more closely, quickly noticing that the sapphire-blue and abstract-green varieties seem especially rare. Eager to claim the best of the island’s hidden wealth, the group decides to start with those precious gems first.

Descending the winding path, they watch as the city below stirs awake. Streets fill with a soft buzz of conversation, and the air is sweet with the aroma of fresh island pastries. Determined to tackle the mine—and the mysterious torches of red, blue, and green—they head straight for the bustling market district to gather supplies.

They weave through rows of colorful stalls brimming with handcrafted items, island produce, and intriguing curiosities. A cheerful shopkeeper—a friendly pup—greets them at a well-stocked gear store. Inside, the group carefully selects sturdy pickaxes, lanterns, and ropes, each tool bringing them closer to unearthing the secrets beneath the mountain.

As Mira cradles her newly purchased pickaxe, Sensei’s final words echo in her thoughts: “The three colors hold a key, though you may not understand it now.” Though they’re unsure what awaits them in the mine, excitement and curiosity unite them. Armed with fresh gear—and a growing sense of camaraderie—they stand ready for whatever Plooshy Island has in store.
