@Muppetiers Well you were in favour for baloguns red being suspended because there have been other corrupt situations, so im assuming youre cool with this too π
@__scottsaunders Yh would be interesting to see how much they're going for. Id imagine baleba is Β£80M + and bouaddi 55M? Worth paying it IMO given how crucial the midfield rebuild is and would help make up for missing out on our top targets.
@__scottsaunders Completely agree. The Market is shrinking and baleba is a profile we dont have yet ( f
(Freak athlete who can cover grass). Unfortunately hes probably going to cost 80+M.
@__scottsaunders Pathetic that some of our fanbase are celebrating. You arnt getting a better depth option for 34M. We now have to get 2 midfielders in a shrinking market and clubs will know we're desperate.
@__scottsaunders Depends on how many of the reports are true. its normal to want another medical after he got called up to the world cup incase he sustained an injury there. If its a minor issue like hojlunds when he joined then its fine, if not we cancel it. Midfield market is shrinking though
@__scottsaunders We still need a guaranteed starter but 48M in this crazy inflated market for a 22 year old who can compete is something to be happy about. Finally some good news.
@__scottsaunders agree with you as long as the player has a high ceiling, and santos could. I think fans wanted atleast 1 ready now signing, preferably from the PL. It would give confidence in retaining a CL position and pushing for a title charge. I like ederson and santos but its underwhelming
@__scottsaunders We either other pay for scott and or baleba ( unlikely because we may aswell have just overpaid for fernandes) or we end up buying cheaper from other league and risk that they can adapt the the PL. My guess is the later which would look underwhelming on paper.
@__scottsaunders Wait, people didn't pick up the sarcasm in your first tweet? How? π€£ I totally agree btw. I wasn't convinced by Nagelsmann when we were linked. His PR is much better than his actual quality and if its not worth risking what carrick has shown unless its someone like Enrique.
@__scottsaunders One is going to be a big overpay and will have competition and the other we havnt even heard wants to leave. Seems like a waste of time tbf
@__scottsaunders@RegistaCall If we're pinning our midfield rebuild hopes on the chances of signing a real madrid midfielder in his peak on fairly high wages then im already worried π
@__scottsaunders I respect the clubs willingness to not overpay but the price for that is were likely to end up with lower quality alternatives whilst our big 6 rivals pull ahead of us. For granted somewhat valid reasons weve now missed out on our top 4 midfield targets.
@Dcosta_clayton@__scottsaunders@tplmufc Back to back relegation isnt an argument to judge a players worth. Its the failure of a team, not down to one player. Also fernandes is our 4th/5th midfield target and the alternatives will be overpriced too. What happens if we let spurs get him then scott and baleba are too much
@__scottsaunders@tplmufc We cant control the current PL midfielder market valuations. the club are adamant on signing PL talent to reduce risk (which i agree with btw). So we have to overpay or get left behind. I like and support omar and the club but interviews like that are partly posturing too.
@__scottsaunders@tplmufc I watched omars interview when it came out and he comes across very relaxed and competent, however the clubs philosophy on the transfer window is easy to say but unrealistic in practice.
