A highly stylized art style goes a lot longer in keeping something looking good than realism does.

that's why late gen PS3 games looked like shit about 2 years after they released while some PS2 games still hold up today.

We peaked in graphics design twenty years ago, but people keep chasing Realism and driving up performance requirements to achieve it.

A Striking art style will ALWAYS outlast Realism, and I am sick of pretending that's not the case.
