I respectfully disagree. IMO, this was a one horse race, Mikey Mariano, Jr. Others may have had better rate stats (in half the IP) and/or better "pedigree."

- 91.2 IP in PIAA Pitch Count Era is borderline unfathomable
- 7 CG*
- Went on three days rest 3x after a GS (2 CG & 6.2 IP)**
- 4 GS in Liberty's last 5 games, 4 CG (by rule he couldn't pitch on 6/5)
- @LHSVarBBALL / @Mikeyybaseball was the last team / pitcher standing out of the lot (two other D11 6A teams; two D11 4A teams that didn't make it out of Districts [& Saucon Valley has many 2A/3A opponents in Colonial])

The other four pitchers are likely more talented than Mariano - but they surely didn't have a better season on the bump.
