@le_Parisien C'est honteux cet article !

@ick_real Considering most video games require some form of cognitive thought, planning, and neural firing I’d say that your statement is pretty close to retarded
Regarding Clair Obscur - We believe sometimes we have to pick our battles. A few placeholder assets that were immediately patched out does not make an entire game AI slop.
Our account is about recognizing, appreciating and highlighting the strengths of human creativity. If a game is 99.99% a human crafted labor of love, we do not believe 0.01% of GenAI (if it even qualifies as that much) is worth slandering the entire game over.
Doing that gives permission to AI Boosters to do what they do best - take credit for things they had no hand in. They now take a game that was 99.99% a human crafted labor of love and say "Look at the power of GenAI to make these incredible games possible" when it had no meaningful impact at all.
Obviously we would all always prefer it wasn't used, and the internet is not a place that handles nuance well. But please keep this in mind for the future. We do not believe in witch hunts or hate directed at the hard work of artists or developers.🫖
Over 5 million people played Expedition 33 and only 1 instance of AI was found and it was a small placeholder that was patched out and Sandfall admitted it was from 2022 (the patch came quickly, so that means they had the assets ready to go). If the game was full of AI
Take-Two just vaporized $3.2B in market cap to buy 6 months of polish.
The math here is wild. They're essentially paying $17M per day of delay to avoid shipping a game that mightunderperform a $7B launch window.
This tells you everything about how Rockstar views execution risk. They're not optimizing for time-to-market. They're optimizing for a single variable: launch quality.
Because in their model, a flawed GTA 6 doesn't just underperform. It destroys 15 years of franchise equity and tanks the entire live service roadmap.
The interesting part? Every other AAA publisher is watching this and thinking "we can't afford to do that."
Rockstar can. And that gap is only getting wider.
Did you tell @SnoopDogg that you were going to lay off over THIRTY THOUSAND people as part of this when you approached him for this collab?
Tens of thousands of talented creatives and hard-working white collar workers gone, just to facilitate this.
Snoop once said "Stay humble. Remember where you came from... The world don’t need no more copies. It needs originals... Whatever it is you do, you have to master your craft."
Amazon Games Studios exists because of the kind of people who embody what Snoop Dogg has always advocated for, who mastered their craft, poured their hearts into their art, and never stopped moving forward. You have just laid off all of those people and replaced them with soulless AI.
If you'd have asked Snoop if he would collab on the launch of an Amazon record label where every instrument, beat, and backing vocal was AI generated, he'd have scorned you, and yet what you have done here is exactly that; it's just a different industry.
If @SnoopDogg is still as much a man for the people as he's always shown himself to be, he'll pull his name from this collab and wipe his association with AGS - I'm now going to watch and wait for that to happen.
