@dfcrider With that, I feel as if artists then keep the song short all together to hide the fact that it might not be that good of a song or to hide their true intentions of appealing to TikTok. All in all, Spotify has a hand in it, but TikTok is the actual 'mastermind"
@dfcrider TikTok is the platform behind a lot of new artists/songs' rise to popularity, artists attempt to appeal to its audience in a quick time frame, simply attempting to get a good soundbite/part of the song that is catchy enough to get attention (Ex. Jack Harlow's song, First Class).
Given the leaps older generations have taken to associate everything they don’t understand with being demonic or evil, I can see why Michael included the warning #BRC450#Livetweetthe80s
#BRC450#Livetweetthe80s scared of Prince and other black artists…? Ah yes, I forgot just how scary black excellence and talent is to many white people. Strange how the sound isn’t terrifying enough for them to not steal though.
#brc450#livetweetthe80s I appreciate Prince’s energy and theatricality on stage. In fact, I believe he was one of if not the most energetic we’ve seen so far. Aside from that, I liked how well his background singers/guitarists complimented his set+
they kept a great amount of energy which complimented Prince but didn’t overshadow him. Most of all, I respect Prince’s integrity when he admitted to holding onto demos because his sound wasn’t what higher ups wanted. Many artists today either don’t read their contracts well+
@dfcrider A bit of a weird question, but on the topic of the ads for phonographs and transistor radios, which details should we pay the most attention to/what responses do you expect to see for those topics?
