[Singlist] 260923 BTS Jin: K-Pop Star’s Liquor Brand Takes Off Overseas
Liquor brands in which K-pop stars directly participate in product development and business creation are expanding their competitiveness beyond their fandoms, gaining ground in overseas distribution networks and quality evaluations. BTS Jin’s IGIN has entered a major U.S. retail network.
Overseas, there have been growing examples of celebrities turning liquor businesses into major ventures. George Clooney’s tequila brand Casamigos was sold to Diageo for $1 billion, while Ryan Reynolds’ Aviation Gin was acquired for $600 million. Alongside the global spread of K-culture, a similar trend is emerging in Korea, with artists participating as founders and product developers.
IGIN, which Jin has participated in developing from the product-development stage, is a traditional Korean liquor highball RTD brand operated by Jinis’s Lamp. Its two non-alcoholic products are set to be simultaneously launched at all approximately 160 stores of BevMo!, a major U.S. West Coast liquor retailer, as well as on the e-commerce platform Gopuff. This marks the first time a Korean non-alcoholic liquor brand has entered every BevMo! store.
IGIN has focused on turning its initial fandom response into repeat-purchase data from local stores. After its products sold out at Lawson convenience stores in Japan, major retailer AEON proposed a Black Friday limited-edition promotion. In China, the brand entered 275 KKV stores, while in the Philippines, it entered distribution channels operated by Robinsons Group.
IGIN’s product lineup includes Apple Tonic, a traditional Korean liquor highball; Pinkom Tonic, featuring a peach flavor; Apple Gin, a premium modern gin; and non-alcoholic products. The brand promotes a philosophy of “designing enjoyment” rather than simply making people intoxicated, targeting consumers who consciously choose to reduce their alcohol consumption.
Kim Ye-sung, Global Strategy Division Head at Jinis Lamp, said, “From the beginning, we pursued overseas expansion with the goal of becoming an everyday liquor brand for local consumers. The fact that Lawson sold out and that AEON approached us demonstrated consumer response through data, which ultimately led to our entry into BevMo!. We will use the United States as a base to expand the horizons of K-liquor.”

BTS Jin Ranks No. 1 on FAN N STAR Solo Rankings for 47 Consecutive Weeks
BTS Jin has extended his record of long-term dominance, ranking No. 1 for 47 consecutive weeks in the solo rankings on FAN N STAR, a weekly idol ranking site.
Jin topped the September fourth-week solo ranking vote held from September 14 to 21 with an overwhelming 4,454,396 votes, comfortably taking the No. 1 spot.
The special benefits that come with his record-breaking achievements are also continuing. Jin previously earned billboard advertising benefits by ranking No. 1 for 10 consecutive weeks and then reaching the milestone of 30 consecutive weeks at No. 1 in the solo rankings. If he reaches No. 1 for 50 consecutive weeks, a celebratory video will be displayed on the M Screen in Hongdae, Seoul. Reaching 70 consecutive weeks at No. 1 will bring a billboard advertising benefit at the Gyeonggi Building in Euljiro, Seoul, while the coveted 100-week milestone will grant him an advertising benefit on the 9TO9 CUBE at COEX Mall in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. With only three weeks remaining until he reaches the 50-week milestone, fans are already paying close attention to the next record Jin is set to write.
Jin’s unrivaled impact also shone through in the voting held in connection with the recently concluded awards ceremony. After a fierce competition, Jin took the final No. 1 spot in the male category of the FAN N STAR My Star Award, securing the trophy at the 2026 THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS (TMA). The My Star Award is a meaningful category in which fans directly choose the artist they love the most. Following his long-standing No. 1 position in the solo rankings, Jin also topped an awards category, once again demonstrating his strong presence in fan-voted categories and the solid unity of his fandom.
Meanwhile, the 2026 THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS (TMA), where Jin received the My Star Award, successfully concluded at Busan Asiad Main Stadium on September 19. FAN N STAR is currently holding its TMA Best Stage vote through October 19, allowing fans to select the performance they consider the best stage of the awards ceremony.
FAN N STAR operates as a participatory platform where fans can directly support their favorite artists through various ranking votes, billboard advertising support, and voting campaigns connected to awards ceremonies.
