Pole Position followed by a lights-to-flag Victory 🏆
She achieved it all on merit, pure pace and a lot of bloody hard work 🏁
Massive result and so well deserved @AbbiPulling 👏
@GB3Championship Race Winner!
First Woman, setting more First Woman Records 💪 LFG!!!
@silverstrack@ellasbooktwt@vers_150516 You are absolutely right, the target is for karters coming into F1A , the younger drivers and making the pipeline from grassroots into single seaters
But they cannot hide from the fact of when you leave F1A, what next ?
You cant just hope you get a female Verstappen come in…
@silverstrack@ellasbooktwt@vers_150516 Their grassroots for karting and F4 is hugely positive, it’s made a big difference!
But look at their progression pyramid after gradating from F1A.
Tell me how many are still racing single seaters…
3.
You cannot push a pyramid to F1 and have 3/26 drivers still on the ladder.
NEW CHINA HELMET!! 🇨🇳 I love visiting such a beautiful country. This year’s helmet is inspired by local details, landscapes and Chinese porcelain, seen in the contrast between the blue & white detailing. Thanks for all the support here and I hope you like the helmet 🙌
@SportmphMark The component has been around for 12 years … there was than enough knowledge to standardise this part to a degree and allow the manufacturers to map it to their TC
All the issues with the starts, turbo lag and energy recovery - were managed by the MGU-H
Not so bad now is it😅
@SportmphMark It just screams F1 doing whatever it takes for manufacturer interest, realising they fudged it and then used active aero as a massive sticking plaster over it…
Anyone in engineering could tell you removing the H was a disaster in terms of PU and energy recovery efficiency.
@RossADixon We may see some overtakes in unorthodox places
I’m willing to be optimistic and see how these go
But if we are seeing multiple issues being raised in Bahrain, at one of the best tracks for energy harvesting … it doesn’t bode well
These car are bonkers fast when they get accelerating and just keep going !
But…we are going to lose the magic of what makes an all-out F1 qualifying lap truly special with these regulations
Sacrifice high speed cornering performance, to boost on the straights…this isn’t it
@RossADixon It’s going to be more extreme versions of DRS overtakes and we will have to get used to it
Slipstream will be minimal with active aero as well
I fear for how it might look in places like Melbourne and especially Saudi - when you have very little braking areas to recharge
@RossADixon The driving philosophy is to be basically as straight as possible on exits
More point and squirt driving
As the electric power deployment is so punchy you just light the rear up
It will hopefully improve over time but right now, you see it on every single cars hot lap onboard
@TruthF111@effonecasualfan Still a massive difference compared to one of the biggest OEMs in the world like Audi
Who have competed in prototype motorsport for decades already in WEC
Yet a team formed in a similar timescale , from nothing - is showing this well…
It makes F1 chase of OEMs look daft
@effonecasualfan RBPT deserve an insane amount of credit
F1 literally built a regulation set to get OEMs in, but Red Bull have already showed how an excellently run race team can produce F1 PUs at the highest level
Makes the sport look totally stupid chasing OEMs on corporate short term targets
@LeeF1Talk@F1GuyDan 100%
Sold their soul to get in OEMs - who will likely leave when they can’t win after 3 years
They realised what they’ve decided on was f#%&£d - so moveable aero was added as a sticking plaster and bodge job on a set of regulations that make F1 a harvesting exercise
@F1GuyDan Any person with an engineering background knew this was likely with a 50/50 split without MGU-H
This was the critical part in hybrid PUs, as cars cannot harvest enough energy under rear braking
Moveable aero is a bodge job on a doomed regulation set that barely attracted 2 OEMs
@NotFifthGear If we are getting these comments at a track like Bahrain, where recovering energy is one of the easiest … wait till we go to Melbourne & Saudi
It could genuinely look farcical on a qualifying lap
Let’s see… but I fear all overtaking will be just cars derating mid straight
@fia Yes why ?
This component was key in making the most efficient racing engines ever
If you had it with these cars… the racing would be better
But you pushed a 50/50 ICE &⚡️to attract OEMS; got ONLY 1, then realised the product is f%#$£d
Engineers & drivers knew it for years
