A bomb threat evacuated 450 Muslim children from their school.

Tuesday. Birmingham.

You probably didn't hear about it.

One local school. 450 Muslim children. A bomb threat.

The media didn't think it was worth making national.

An email. Their last day of term, mid awards ceremony.

Sniffer dogs through the corridors. 450 children standing outside while police checked for explosives.

Hamd House School, Bordesley Green.

The threat was also sent to Ofsted.

Police have logged it as harassment.

We log it as what it is. A bomb threat against 450 Muslim children, on their last day of school, is Islamophobia.

The proprietor says the school has been targeted before.

The Birmingham Mail covered it. Yahoo News picked it up.

No one else.

450 children. No headline.

Days earlier, 15,000 Muslims were moved off a Suffolk estate under a declared major incident.

A far-right terror plot against a religious gathering.

Twelve arrests. Three men held on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

The Home Secretary said the police response saved lives.

That one did make the news. For a day.

Try to find it now. It's not on the BBC homepage.

Two months ago, a bomb hoax evacuated a Peter Kay gig at Birmingham's Utilita Arena. Same police force. No target, no children, a comedy show.

The BBC, LBC and Yahoo all had it up within hours. National headline news.

450 Muslim children evacuated from their own school. Not one national outlet touched it.

Rajab, who worships at Al Madinah Masjid in Norwich, was there for Suffolk. He told the BBC: "I'm not scared, I'm not worried because that's a normal thing. It's a thing we face on a daily basis."

A father telling his community that surviving a terror plot is just Tuesday.

You had to search "Suffolk terror event" just to confirm it still existed.

And the state?

Two days before the school threat, the government announced £250 million to police antisemitism. Three years. Hundreds of new officers.

That threat is real. That protection is right. We would not take a penny of it away.

Our number: £40 million.

£10 a head, against £105.

And ours came with a written condition. Don't "undermine" the government, or lose it.

One community gets protection.

Ours gets a leash. And a bomb threat on the last day of school.

No COBRA meeting.

No hate crime action plan.

No headline.

450 children went home early on their last day because someone threatened to blow them up.

We are not asking for less protection for anyone.

We are asking for the same protection to keep our communities safe.

So no father has to explain to his child why they went home early on the last day of school, instead of walking out with an award and a smile.

A couple of days ago was my son's birthday, and today we were able to hold a celebration with his friends in the neighbourhood and buy him a cake. He is feeling very happy today and so am I, my dear ones.. I feel very lucky to be able to do this for my son and I will always do my best to give my children a wonderful life. I could only do this thanks to your support towards my family, and I am very grateful and thankful to you. Some days we may go hungry, but some days are like this, where everyone is very happy and we are able to celebrate. My son's wish for this year is peace, my dear ones, so that we can finally stop living in terror here in 🇵🇸🙏🕊️#Gaza.. It's an incredibly sad wish to have, my dear ones, but one that we all share and I hope it might happen for him this year.. It would be wonderful to give my children a normal childhood in Egypt, so that they might attend a school without being tired from the night before, and they can focus on doing things they enjoy and not have to worry about our situation. It is incredibly cruel that our children have lived through this hell for years now, my dear friends, I hope that you will pray for us and for things to get better here. I really need your support even now, especially for our wonderful animals, so I can make sure they always have food and I can keep their treatments on time.. We are literally watching the last remnants of Gaza City disappear before our eyes.

How can an entire city be erased piece by piece while the world simply watches?

Every day brings more destruction. Buildings that survived months of war are now being destroyed one after another. With every airstrike, another street disappears, another home is reduced to rubble, and another part of our city is gone forever.

Gaza is no longer the city it once was. Most hospitals are out of service. Schools have become shelters. Entire neighborhoods have turned into endless tent camps. There is no electricity, no clean water, no jobs, no education, and almost no services left.

The infrastructure has collapsed. Roads are shattered. Garbage fills the streets. Sewage flows between the tents. Rats and insects are everywhere. There is no fuel, no transportation, not even firewood, while construction materials are still banned from entering.

The humanitarian aid that kept thousands of families alive has all but disappeared. Hunger grows worse every day. Disease spreads. Parents spend hours searching for food or water, often returning with nothing.

And somehow, the world watches all of this as if it were normal.

How can an entire city collapse in front of millions of people, and still be abandoned?

We are not just losing buildings. We are losing Gaza itself its streets, its neighborhoods, its history, and the lives of the people who call it home while a world that sees everything chooses to do nothing.

Oh, these are such hot days, my dear ones, the mosquitos will not leave me alone, and all I can think of is the poor families living under this heat in tents or damaged homes, and the insect problem affecting water and food. For the families who live without a home, it is impossible to have running water, so they will stock up from us with buckets and containers to last them some time. Unfortunately the insects like this still water, my dear ones, and they are constantly found in the drinking and cooking water, laying eggs and causing all sorts of problems for the poor families who need it. On hot days like this it's very hard to spend any time under the tents, because it gets so hot in there, it must be easily over 50 degrees at the hottest points.. Let's do our very best to help the families as much as possible, my dear ones, so they can afford some refreshing fruit to stay cool and whatever else they might possibly need.. I would not forgive myself if I did not talk to remind you of our wonderful animals, and how much you can help them too, my wonderful ones. Our cats and our wonderful dog mean a great deal to me and it is the pride of my day to look after them with my children by my side. I am tired… so tired of everything I see every single day.

Tired of seeing the children of Gaza in the streets like this, seeing their photos everywhere as they beg for medical treatment before they lose their lives. Tired of seeing children running toward us when the water trucks arrive, carrying their small containers and waiting for their turn to get water.

Tired of seeing them rush to receive food because they do not know when their next meal will come. Tired of seeing their small bodies covered with wounds, scars, and diseases. Tired of seeing children who have lost their limbs trying to adapt to a life they never chose, and orphaned children who have lost their parents carrying pain far greater than their young age.

Tired of seeing children collecting papers from the streets to burn instead of wood. Tired of seeing ten year old children working among stones and rubble instead of being in schools, carrying responsibilities that no child should ever have to carry.

I feel helpless in front of this pain… helpless in front of the faces of children whose childhood has been stolen from them. Why are children always the ones who pay the price of wars? Why must they suffer the consequences of something they never chose?
