I've been away for a while (for a much needed reset), but starting tomorrow, I'm back! Times listed below will be my regular schedule, but check the Discord for updates and your local times.

It won’t let me reply to tweets on the app anymore 🤦🏼♀️
But yeah, bro basically told us to keep calm, carry on, and take the bus.
This could have been an email.
(But reading between the lines: things are about to get worse)

seeing a lot of "higher gas prices won't affect me because I don't drive very much" and unfortunately it is my sad duty to inform you that your food does not teleport to the grocery store
#BREAKING: There are currently around 40 fires burning across Victoria.
Extreme conditions are driving fast-moving fronts statewide with emergency warnings issued for seven fires at Longwood (central), Walwa (north-east), a grassfire near Skipton (south-east of Ballarat), Horsham (far west), Bamganie (near Golden Plains), Ravenswood South (south of Bendigo) and Muckatah (far north).
At the time of writing, more than 65,000 hectares has burned.
Premier Jacinta Allan has urged Victorians to tune in to radio for official updates amid reports of website issues, while more than 30,000 homes remain without power.
Authorities are on high alert as heatwave conditions fuel multiple out-of-control fires that have destroyed several properties, with three people still unaccounted for at Longwood.
Disaster recovery funding has been activated for Mansfield, Murrindindi, Strathbogie and Towong, providing emergency payments to affected families and support for relief centres, debris removal and council recovery efforts.
For detailed mapping and real-time warnings, head to the VicEmergency website or emergency broadcasters.
@twensor Blaming politicians for circumstances like that is ridiculous, but it’s not ridiculous to blame them for cutting funding and support to our CFA, and for making things increasingly challenging for the volunteers who are out there risking their lives.
🔥 LEAVE IMMEDIATELY 🔥
Kinglake, Kinglake Central, Kinglake West, Fowerdale, Break O'Day, Buxton, Clonbinane, Devlin Bridge, Glenburn,, Marysville, Murrindindi, Rubicon, Taggerty, Toolangi, Woodbourne.
A wind change is expected at around 8:00pm tonight (Friday 9 January).
This will cause the fire to change direction to the north east, heading back towards Strathbogie.
@lorddrey “The best way” is going to look different to everyone. She probably has forgotten some of the books, not all books are necessarily memorable. I bet she can summarise more of them than you think though.
Reading fiction absolutely does reveal important truths about the world. For instance, it allows you to know that you are a better person than someone who does not read fiction
today's news on booktwt:
- ebooks dont count as reading
- reading romance books do not count as reading, reading fantasy doesn't count as reading
- audiobooks don't count as reading
- only non fiction counts as reading
@xx_howdy I found this from someone retweeting declaring this was a waste of time. For real, those haters be out in force. That’s a phenomenal achievement! Sadly, I’ve only managed to read 4 books this year, but hoping to read more next year!
Congrats on reading so many books 🩷
@_sorrengailll It agitates my skin and I have a habit of touching my face absentmindedly and messing it up 😅 I’ve also never been good at it or had much patience for it.
@SenatorWong If you really stood with the Australian Jewish community, you’d stop calling it an antisemitic terror attack and call it for what it is: an Islamic terror attack. This is so disingenuous, and (part of) why people are angry. Precisely zero accountability.
