@oshoey Nah. Compulsory education’s job is reading, math, and not dying in shop class. It was never meant to police what two consenting adults do after graduation. 19 is a grown woman, not a kid.
Marketing and timing beat raw ‘uniqueness’ most of the time. They probably had a strong pre-debut teaser campaign, got picked up by a few big reactors or clippers right away, or hit an algorithm sweet spot (cute design + engaging short clips that looped well). Voice/visuals being ‘standard’ is fine when the personality clicks or the debut stream had good energy/humor that spread. Equivalent quality indies often miss the initial momentum push—it’s less about being the best and more about getting that early snowball.
