Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) are a type of blood cancer that can often go unnoticed. Many people may not experience any symptoms, leading to a diagnosis through routine blood tests.

Here are some key symptoms to look out for:

🔴Fatigue and shortness of breath
🔴Easy bruising or bleeding - look out for unusual rashes, bruises, or bleeding from the nose or gums
🔴Frequent or prolonged infections

With heavy hearts, the Salford Care Organisation haematology team recently shared the loss of much-loved colleague Norren Flores who sadly passed away on 4th September at Manchester Royal Infirmary following a long illness.

Her family and friends would like her colleagues to join them by celebrating her life.  Her funeral will be held on Saturday 23rd September at 9:00 at St James Church (Hope) on Eccles Old Road in Salford, M68HA.
